In Pahrump, an RSVP Service Coordinator was working with an 84-year-old caregiver who was caring for her 61-year-old son. The caregiver urgently needed a break, but the Service Coordinator struggled to find a respite provider who could meet the caregiver’s specific needs and schedule. After much consideration, she recognized that she could be the right person to help. Stepping beyond her usual role, the Service Coordinator chose to personally provide respite services as an RSVP Respite Provider on her own time. Her willingness to step in reflects the deep compassion and dedication of RSVP staff, who are committed to ensuring caregivers receive the support they need—even when it means going above and beyond their formal responsibilities.
