A Little More Peace of Mind at Home!

Dear Friends,

One of the things we hear most often from the seniors and individuals we serve is how important it is to remain independent and continue living safely in their own homes. For many, independence comes with one concern: What if I need help and no one is nearby?

Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program’s Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) is designed to provide an added measure of safety, confidence, and peace of mind.

Personal 911 Alert Devices Available!
No Cost or Monitoring Fees for Qualified Individuals!

Through the PERS Program, eligible participants receive a Guardian 911 Alert Plus device, using reliable 4G LTE technology. With the push of a button, participants can quickly request assistance in an emergency. Whether it is a fall, a medical concern, or another urgent situation, having immediate access to help can make a tremendous difference.

Our RSVP staff work with each participant through an eligibility review before installation and help ensure they understand how to use and test their equipment. Following installation, participants may also receive Telephone Reassurance calls, if requested, to make sure the device is working properly and to answer any questions or concerns.

The benefits extend beyond the participant. Family members and caregivers can have greater reassurance knowing their loved one has a way to call for help when needed. And for the participant, knowing that help is within reach can provide greater confidence to continue living independently at home.

At Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, we believe that independence should come with support. Programs like PERS are one of the ways we help our neighbors feel safer, more secure, and more confident in their daily lives.

If you or someone you know would like to learn more about eligibility or request information about the PERS Program, please contact Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program at (775) 687-4680.

Thank you for allowing us to continue serving the communities of Nevada and helping our neighbors remain independent, connected, and safe.

Warm regards,

Molly Walt, M.A.Ed.
