Dear RSVP Supporters and Volunteers,<\/p>\n
As we move into the busy summer season, I continue to be inspired by the strength of our rural Nevada communities and the incredible partnerships that help us serve seniors, adults with disabilities, and caregivers across the state.<\/p>\n
This past month brought exciting growth for our transportation program, with fleet expansions in Elko, Humboldt, and Nye Counties. These additional vehicles will allow our teams to better meet the growing transportation needs of clients who rely on RSVP to access medical care, grocery shopping, nutrition services, and other essential resources. In rural Nevada, transportation is often the key that allows individuals to remain independent and connected to their communities.<\/p>\n
In Nye County, we expanded service by adding a second fleet vehicle in Tonopah to complement the existing vehicle operating in Pahrump, helping us strengthen access across this large rural region.<\/p>\n
In Humboldt County, we welcomed a new Toyota RAV4 Hybrid to our fleet, increasing service capacity while also improving fuel efficiency and long-term sustainability for the program.<\/p>\n
And, in Elko County, a new Toyota RAV4 will help improve transportation reliability for clients who often travel long distances for medical appointments and essential services, including travel during difficult weather and on rural roads.<\/p>\n
These expansions would not be possible without the support of our partners, volunteers, staff, and community advocates who continue to believe in our mission.<\/p>\n
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Lamoille Women\u2019s Club for their generous donation and continued support of our work in Elko County. Community partnerships like this make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals we serve every day, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment to helping rural seniors remain safe, independent, and connected.<\/p>\n
As always, thank you to our volunteers, supporters, and community partners for helping us strengthen services across rural Nevada. Together, we continue building stronger, healthier communities for the people who depend on us most.<\/p>\n
